22 Years On The Mat

Last Friday, our head coach Nam Hoang was surprised to receive his second degree on his black belt from his head coach, and co-founder of Combat Base UK, Darren Currie.

Nam's BJJ journey has been a long one, starting with Combat Base UK in 2002 and receiving his black belt in 2018. Nam started coaching in Bradford to purely help out, until hiring out a small corner of a gym in Roundhay, Leeds and has since progressed to our top class facilities in Armley, where we have classes suitable for all abilities nearly every day of the week.

No where in Leeds has a coach with such experience, or a timetable dedicated to BJJ and submission grappling as Combat Base Leeds.
