Matiass Damiao Strikes Gold at Empire Grappling: North East Open

Matiass Damiao once again showcased his high-level Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu skills at the Empire Grappling: North East Open, securing gold in the Gi division. Winning all his matches by points, he demonstrated not just technical prowess but also a sharp competition strategy, controlling the pace and outscoring his opponents with calculated precision.

Toby also put in a stellar performance, battling through the brackets and securing a silver medal in the Gi division. His determination and skill shone through, proving that Combat Base Leeds continues to be a dominant force on the competition scene.

Adding to his achievements, Matiass 'The Portuguese Prospect' gained a stripe on his belt, alongside Tommy who always puts the work in on the mats and Archie who is picking up BJJ and grappling at a fantastic rate with a well deserved first stripe.
